Matthew Edwards is experienced handling all aspect Workers’ Compensation and Personal Injury claims for injured clients and clients with financial problems in Bankruptcy.

Mr. Edwards is licensed to practice in the State of Missouri and U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Missouri and is a member of the Missouri Bar Association, Cape Girardeau County Bar, Missouri Association of Trial Attorneys and National Association of Bankruptcy Trustees.  In 2014, he was appointed as a member of the panel of Chapter 7 trustees for the Eastern District of Missouri.  He has served as a lecturer at continuing legal education programs on Workers’ Compensation and Bankruptcy law.

Mr. Edwards is a former Assistant Attorney General for the State of Missouri and prior to beginning his legal career worked as a claims representative for the Social Security Administration.

Mr. Edwards is originally from Jackson, Missouri and graduated magna cum laude from Southeast Missouri State University. He then attended law school at Saint Louis University, graduating magna cum laude in 2005. While attending law school, Mr. Edwards served as a clerk for the United States Attorney’s Office in Saint Louis.

He lives in Sikeston with his wife, Abbie, and their three children.  Mr. Edwards presently serves as a board member for the Kids Chance of Missouri Scholarship Program which provides scholarships to children of severely injured Missouri Workers’ Compensation claimants.
